After the first solar PV licensing procedure was overwritten by almost 15 times the cap of 600 MW, the chairman of Turkey’s energy market regulatory agency has announced the dates for the second licensing applications. The agency will accept applications in April 2015, more specifically on April 1, 2, 3, 6 and 7. The procedure will be largely similar to the initial licensing application procedure, complying with Turkey’s Electricity Market Law No. 6446, however slight changes have already been made and more adaptations are being expected.
The cap of this second license release has not officially been announced as of yet, however expectations are that it will be around 2.5 GW of licenses.
